Bio

JUSTIN GREER is an opera singer by training, a retired Broadway dancer and actor, an arts educator, DEI practitioner and educational leader.  He was most recently seen on Broadway as Lieutenant Ward and Henry Morganthau in the recent revival of ANNIE.  Prior to that, he was in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, swinging and serving as the dance captain. His career on Broadway has spanned more than a decade, and he has performed in the hit Broadway revival of ANYTHING GOES, covering eleven men as a swing and assistant dance captain, as well as being part of the original Broadway companies of SHREK THE MUSICAL, URBAN COWBOY and SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. Other Broadway shows include THE PRODUCERS, where he was the dance captain and understudy for Leo Bloom and Carmen Ghia, playing both leading roles many times, and the Tony award winning revival of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN starring Bernadette Peters.

Other NYC credits include BABES IN ARMS and APPLAUSE with City Center Encores! , the off-Broadway play JUST US BOYS, and the HERCULES SUMMER SPECTACULAR at the New Amsterdam Theatre, where he played Aladdin.  He has toured the country as Gideon in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS and in SHREK THE MUSICAL, worked with the Radio City Rockettes, and has performed in numerous regional and stock productions.  Some of his favorite roles include the title role in BATBOY (BATCC Best leading actor nomination), Matt in THE FANTASTICKS, Will Parker in OKLAHOMA, and Jinx in FOREVER PLAID.

He has been a guest artist, teacher and arts administrator for numerous prestigious arts education organizations including Camp Broadway, Broadway Classroom, City Center, the BRAVO television network, US Performing Arts Camps, Moveable Arts, in the NYC public schools and was on the faculty of the Trevor Day School.  Mr. Greer is now a full-time performing arts specialist on the faculty of Manhattan’s prestigious Dalton School.  He extensively lectures and has held master classes in audition techniques, dance, acting, music and performance.  He holds a BFA in Vocal Performance and Theatre from Carnegie Mellon University, a MA in Educational Leadership, Politics and Advocacy from New York University, and currently resides in New York City and Sarasota, Florida.
